Glucosamine

What is it? |
Glucosamine is needed for the fluid and cartilage that cushions and lubricates the joints. It is an important building block needed by the body as it produces molecules called glycosaminoglcans which is found within the joints.
It is known for being a natural supplement for treatment to ease joint pain and inflmmation.
There are two types of Glucosamine: Glucosamine Sulphate (2KCI) and Glucosamine Hydrochloride (HCI).

What would I take it for? |
It can help you keep joints flexible and ease joint pain. A lot of older people take it if they suffer with arthritis, but people of all ages can take it.
Studies have shown by the University of Liege in Belgium that Glucosamine can halve the risk of the surgery for osteoarthritis sufferers.
It doesn't matter whatever age you are, if you are feeling joint pain we would definitely advise to take Glucosamine.

Ways of taking it |
Taken as a capsule or tablet, we would advise to take it for at least 3 months, some people may not notice a difference straight away; others may feel pain ease within a few weeks.

How much should I take and when? |
Available in different strengths usually 500mg and 1000mg needs to be taken daily and usually in the morning.

- Do not take if you are allergic to fish.

If you are a vegetarian or have an allergy to fish we would advise you not to take Glucosamine.
The ShapeNoBull Team found that if the intake of Glucosamine is stopped within a couple of weeks the pains started creeping back again, all the team take it and ages vary from mid 20s up to their 50s. So it goes to show it can help a huge range of people.
