What is it?

It is a very popular well and known supplement. It is rich in Omega-6, which is an essential fatty acid, meaning because the body can't produce it, it is in fact something the body depends on. It also contains Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA).

The GLA in the Evening Primrose Oil has amazing beneficial effects for the body; it reduces inflammation. 

Where does it originate/where would it be found?

The oil comes from the seeds of the evening primrose, Oenothera Biennis, it is a North American Wildflower. It was originally used by Native Americans for food and medicine, and introduced to Europe around 1620.

Ways of taking it? 

This actually comes in many different strengths; mainly available in a caspule form and they can be quite large and also comes as an oil but you will probably find it in a blend of oils, which we have to admit works great for you hair skin and nails, but it can be expensive.  

You can purchase mainly in the following amounts:

1. 500mg
2. 1000mg
3. 1300mg

As the amount of EPO stregthens so does the amount of GLA in each capsule.

Depending on the quantity and strength, the price will vary but you can buy it from as little as £2.00.

When should I take it?

Take one capsule a day preferably in the morning.

This product seems to have a myth that only women take it, but if you are a guy and suffer with eczema it is definitely woth taking, one or our team takes it everyday and alhtough it doesn''t clear it up completely (which is his own fault due to his diet) he definitely recommends it for reducing the reddness and the itching.
