Selenium is a mineral; it protects cells from free radicals which in turn helps to protect the immune system. This plays a role in the protein syntehsis, maintaining muscle and immune function.

Available in tablet form also found in most Multivitamins.

 

 

How much should I take and when?

 

The daily amount is between 100-200mcg a day.  

 

Adverse Effects:

  1. Do no take more than recommended daily amount, too much can be toxic.
