Ginger

What is it? |
Ginger is native to Asia and grows throught Mexico and several other countried and is mentioned in Chinese medicinal texts dating back to the last century. It was also used in Ancient Rome and Greece.
The stem of the plant is used for a spice and medicine.

What would I take it for? |
The main proven benefit is to help reduce and/or prevent nausea. It is often used by people who suffer with travel sickness, mornig sickness and the ginger capsules have known to be are used by those who suffer from nausea caused from chemotherapy.

Ginger can be taken as:
- Capsule - take 550mg capsule before you travel
- Ginger tea - helps morning sickness, but talk to your GP first.
- Fresh ginger - you can get from any supermarket, and add to a meal, help with bloating.
- Ginger piece - good for travel, feeling sick and even a hangover.
- May also be found in some detox formulas and Fat Burners.

How much should I take and when? |
This really depends on the reason your for taking it. Some people munch on it regularly as can be purchased as crystallised ginger.
