What is it?
Citrus Bioflavonoid is a powerful antioxidant. It is a natural compound which is found in plants, fruits and vegetables.
Where does it originate/where would it be found?
It is found in the following foods:
- Grapefruit
- Lemon
- Orange
What would I take it for?
- Used in treatment for Malaria
- Gout
- Rheumatism
- Respiratory infections
- Can help relieve allergies
- Anti-inflammatory helps reduce joint pain/swelling

Keeps the immune system strong and can help reduce joint pain post training.
Where can I buy it?
Found in all health on the High Street and online and is mainly found in Vitamin C, but not all Vitamin C supplements contain. You will find you pay slightly more with it included in the supplement. We have Vitamin C available and also within our Multivitamin & Mineral.
Ways of taking it
Comes in tablet, capsule, powder and effervescent form.
How much should I take and when?
The recommended daily intake is from 400mg up 1000mg which can be taken up to 3 times a day depending on the reason for being taken.
Anything else I need to know?
If you are taking high doses this should only be recommended by a health professional and will be supervised.
The Citrus Bioflavonoid helps the absorption of Vitamin C.
Adverse Effects:
- Presently there are no known side effects but if you are taking for medicinal purposes it is advisable to speak to a professional before taking.
