Salt
Salt
The average recommended daily intake of salt is supposedly 4 grams, but if you have a heart condition or have a family history of heart condition it would be well advised to evaluate your daily diet.
CASH (Consensus Action on Health & Salt) found that 70,000 people could have avoided a heart or stroke in the UK alone if they just lowered their salt intake.
If you are a competing athlete or bodybuilder you need to be careful of the amount of intake into your diet. Salt makes us more thirsty and if you are reducing your intake of water due to a competiton you need to be careful about how much salt you are including in to your diet.
