Eat Less, Live A Lot - 1st September 2010

 

Joan Collins once said ‘The best exercise for losing wait is pushing yourself away from the table’.

 

What better advice could you give to someone who wants to lose body fat? As a nation, the UK is becoming an obese country even more than as a little as five years ago. ShapeNoBull’s thoughts on this are partly due to the range of food, it has never been more advanced; you can have a curry on your plate in two minutes, there are a mass array of flavoured ice-creams and crisps and many of the Supermarkets are fighting for your custom so reduce prices on some of the worst foods, filled with bad fats, high in salt and mass amount of carbs.

Plus the amount of tasks you can now achieve from the sofa, e.g. shopping, playing tennis, creating music, socialising with the world, even the Vacuum cleaner can walk itself around the room whilst you sit on the sofa and play Bingo.

 

We, as a nation, are generally less active. So what can be done as life becomes more sedentary?

One of the best things we can do instead of piling our plates high with food and finishing the whole lot, even when we are full, is to actually push ourselves away from the table.

A lot of us are eating way too much food than our body actually requires sustaining its energy for the day. Sometimes even the ShapeNoBull team have to tell ourselves to stop eating, especially when it comes to the weekend, when it is chill out time, and we fill our faces with sweeties and fatty foods.

 

The simplest thing to stop us piling on those pounds is discipline. If you want to change your body it is all up to you to make the decision and find the discipline.
