B1 (Thiamine)

What is it?

Vitamin B1, also known as Thiamin is required for the production of energy, nerve and muscle function and metabolism of carbohydrates. It also helps memory and mental function.

B1 is essential when combined as a complex, it gives an increase in energy and helps the nervous system and immune system.

Ways of taking it

Comes in tablet or capsule form; found in Multivitamins and B Complex

How much should I take and when?

Daily intake can be between 20-100mg. The body uses what it requires and then the rest is passed out through your urine.  

Adverse Effects:

  1. Alcohol can actually cause a deficiency of all the B vitamins.
  2. Large levels of a single B Vitamin may deplete other B vitamins, recommended to take either a B Complex or a Multivitamin.
  3. Will turn your urine bright yellow
