Heart Disease

Heart Disease is one of the UK’s biggest heart problems; on average 300,000 people suffer a heart attack every year, and unfortunately it is fatal for thousands of people every year. You can guarantee there is always something in the media about heart disease and reducing risks of ill health, but that’s not a surprise given the fact it is the main cause of death in the UK.

Heart disease is mainly caused by a build up of fatty deposits in the vessel walls which leads to arteries becoming narrower and can restrict blood flow to the heart.

Factors which may cause heart disease include:

  • Lack of exercise
  • High Cholesterol levels
