Monday Blues - 25th July 2008

Those Monday Blues......

If you feel those horrid Monday Blues or suffer with the holiday blues when you get back to work after having time off, those dreaded feelings are actually caused by some simple reasons.

The main reason is because we can all think of more pleasent things to be doing other than working, but another reason is because we lie in on Saturdays and Sundays, and during our holiday, so by Sunday evening we have messed up our routine body clock which we created during the week, when it is time for bed Sunday evening, our body is setting itself for another routine from the past couple of nights and doesn't want to sleep, therefore we are not getting a full nights sleep and rest that we need.

The best way to resolve this is to go to bed and rise at the same time every day including weekends; this all sounds very sensible but work is for the week and weekends are for play. So we'll leave it up to you whether you get your routine sleep or go out and play on the weekend. There is one more reason why you probably suffer the blues and that is the pure fact that you just don't like work.

Whatever the reason, unless you win the lottery come Monday morning, those dreaded Monday Blues will reappear.

Roll on the next weekend.
